Casey McCorry

I’m a writer, producer and documentary filmmaker based in metro-Detroit, Michigan. I have worked in marketing and communications for over ten years. I’ve written about everything from Dr. Bronner's castile oil soap and cult deprogramming to kelp-farming Shinnecock and refugee rescuing priests. You can see my writing in Slate, The Guardian, Salon, NY Mag, Business Insider and more. I have produced and scripted an award-winning podcast series Detroit Stories and have directed a 6-part documentary series.

I have worked in Los Angeles and Chicago and now live and works in Royal Oak, MI with four curly-headed children and my husband. I spend my free time "eating stories like grapes."
